Terri Smith is flanked by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. McKay Smith, after receiving the coveted seven-year Medallion. Terri Smith presented 7-year medallion Terri Smith, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. McKay Smith, was presented the Seven Year Medallion Sunday in Sacrament Sacra-ment Services of the Cedar Fifth Ward. Presenting the coveted a-ward a-ward was Gene Roundy, first counselor in the Fifth Ward Bishopric. The Medallion is symbolic of activity over a continuous seven year period. In order to win the award the recipient must have obtained seven Personal Achievement Awards. each of the seven years. Miss Smith is a graduate of Cedar High School. She is currently employed at Ron and Cris Bakery. She teaches a junior Sunday School class. In addition she graduated from four years of LDS Seminary Sem-inary studies, served as a junior jun-ior class secretary and was a member of the Abi Tau marching march-ing group while at Cedar High The yearly achievement a-ward a-ward requires a high percentage percent-age of attendance at all regular reg-ular church meetings. During the seven year period that the Medallion is earned a minimum mini-mum of 70 service hours would be required. Each year the recipient must have participated par-ticipated in two activities in the church and in addition is required to prepare and present pre-sent a minimum of two talks |
