Utah International, Inc., Cedar City Operations, was presented a safety award recently by the Utah Industrial Commission Commis-sion for over a year of operation without a disabling dis-abling accident. Utah International wins safety award days have been compiled on the record according to Del-las Del-las Imlay, operation Engineer. During the course of the more than a year's time that the outstanding safety record was accomplished the work force at the mining operation has been between a low of about 175 men to a high of 250, CLlficials stated. The record established by the Cedar City division is the host record of any of Utah International's o P e t ations throughout the world. Utah International, Inc., Cedar City division has been presented with a Safety Award by the Utalh Industrial Commission. Presentation of the award was made to Utah International Interna-tional officials and Union Safety committee representatives representa-tives by oammisslon safety in-fipectors, in-fipectors, Tony Bullock and Robert Peterson. Accepting in behalf of Utah International was R. C. Died-rich, Died-rich, mine manager. The certificate recognized that the Cedar City division cf the organization, located west of Cedar City had 385 days without a disabling accident ac-cident which began with the last disabling injury on January Jan-uary 11, 1972.
