Saturday cla3 members performed at halftime of the Cedar-Kanab basketball basket-ball game. Gymnastics offered girls at Cedar High The Girls Physical Education Educa-tion classes at Cedar High School exhibited their abilities abilit-ies in gymnastics as a half, time entertainment at the Cedar High Kanab basketball game Saturday evening. Members of the class utilize five gymnastic apparatuses and each was demonstrated Saturday evening. Class members mem-bers have been introduced to the trampoline, balance-beam, horse, uneven parallel bars and tumbling. Each girl is expected to try out all of the equipment and they choose three out of the five on which they want to .- tested. The girls figure out their own routine on which they will be tested. Purpose of the gymnastic unit it to develop body control con-trol which takes a lot of individual indi-vidual help from two training teachers from Southern Utah State College, Mrs. Vickie Ingram and Mrs. Jean Truman plus the Instruction of Miss Elaine Nelson, the PE teacher. Testing program on the apparatuses ap-paratuses were recently concluded con-cluded prior to the appearance of class members In the half-time half-time program Saturday. |
