Show Dinner to honor Eagle Scouts Twenty-seven Eagle Scouts from the Brian Head and Cedar Ce-dar Breaks Districts of the Utah National Parks Council, Eoy Scouts of America will be honored at the annual Eagle Recognition Banquet, February 22 at the Sugar Loaf Cafe dn Cedar City, Richard Prince, chairman of the banquet, has indicated. The purpose of this annual event is to honor the young men who have been awarded ie coveted Eagle Badge during dur-ing the preceding year. Each young man will be placed with an adult in the community commun-ity area who has knowledge and experience in the vocational voca-tional area the eagle would like to explore as a possible life-time career. This k the first year this type of Eagle Banquet sponsorship spon-sorship has 'been implemented in this area, Mr. Prince stated. Otto Fife, a long-time scout-er scout-er in this area, will serve as master of ceremonies and the banquet keynote speaker will be Dr. Walter H. Snow, a Council Vice-Chairman from St. George. Eagle Scout speak er will be Kim Rindlisbach, holder of 4 Eagle Palms, from Cedar City. At this event. information will be given concerning the future organization of a National Na-tional Eagle Scout Association Associa-tion chapter in the area, Prince remarked. In addition to an enjoyable evening, meal, speakers and an insight into one's potential career, a boy is placed In contact con-tact with a man of good character char-acter and a man is placed in a position where he U helping to mould the life and future of a young man. |
