Show A: 4 vf ... 'V' .- , I ,!, "1 t ' I Uf TO APPEAR HERE. Nobuko Imai, violist, will appear in Cedar City on Wednesday, Feb. 5 as guest artist of the Cedar City Music Arts. Nobuko Imai, violist slates February concert The Cedar City Music Arts Committee will present violist Nobuko Imai in concert on Wednesday, February 5 at 8:15 p.m. in the Music Arts Recital Hall at SUSC. Nobuko Imai is probably the only violist to have every won the First Prizes of both the Munich International Viola Competition and the Geneva International Viola Competition. Miss Imai has appeared with many of the world's leading orchestras in Rome, Paris, London, Japan, and several in the United States. She has participated in the concerts of the Spoleto Festival in Italy, the Marlboro Festival in Vermont and has toured widely with (Music from Marlboro. ) She is a frequent guest artist with the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center. Miss Imai is also violist as the Vermeer Quartet which is in residence at the University of Chicago. Miss Imai will be in all of our schools and at SUSC on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday preceeding the concert to give lecture performances and workshops. This project is assisted by a grant provided jointly by the Utah State Division of Fine Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts, Washington, D.
