Show SUS Quarterback Club readies fall activities penses of flying the basketball team to the islands for the five game series. Prizes are being offered to contributors who assist in the support of the basketball team. Details of the trips and other programs of the year will be presented to members of the Quarterback Club at a meeting to be held early In September, Carter indicated. The trip to San Diego will be the third annual excursion by the Club members to the southern California area with the football team, Carter explained. Plans for activities of the Southern Utah State College Quarterback Club for the coming com-ing year were formulated at a meeting of the officers held this week, according to Cal Carter, president of the booster organization. Highlighting plans for the year will be trips with the partcipating teams to San Diego, Calif, with the SUSC football team on the weekend of September 21. That will be followed by a trip, for those interested, to Hawaii on November 22. The trip will be a five day affair and arrangements are being made to provide tour rates and accomodations for supporters of the basketball team whom might like to participate. The Quarterback Club is also assisting the athletic department depart-ment in the raising of additional addition-al funds to help meet the ex- l |
