' 1 ! i '- - - i ilkA A 4k - iaaMMa STEVEN AND DEBRA BARTON By Ililma Lamoreaux PARAGONAH - Miss Debra Robinson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dale Robinson, was married on June 24 to Steven Scott Barton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Scott Barton all of Paragonah. The young people spoke their vows in a double ring ceremony in the St. George Temple with Elihu Whatcott of the Temple presidency officiating. of-ficiating. Family members attended the ceremony. Following the wedding a breakfast was served at the Parowan Cafe hosted by the groom's parents. That same evening the newlyweds were honored at a reception in the Paragonah Ward Cultural Hall where decorations were in a green and yellow color scheme with lighted pillars. The wedding party stood by an archway trimmed with yellow flowers and greenery, flanked by baskets of the yellow flowers. The new Mrs. Barton wore her wedding gown of lightweight double knit fashioned with a tuck trimmed bodice with square neckline, lace yoke and full sleeves with deep lace cuffs. The gored skirt ended in a deep flounce and the waistline had a tailored belt. Her long veil fell from a lace headpiece and her bouquet was of yellow roses. She was attended by Mrs. Dianna Robinson as matron of honor, bridesmaids, Brenda Robinson, Pamela Barton, Quinten and Lori Robinson and flower girls Christi Nelson and Danae Robinson. The girls all wore long dresses of yellow and green print on white. The flower girls carried baskets of daisies and the others each held a single yellow rose. The mothers wore green. Carl Dean Barton and Lyle Barton shared best man duties. At the guest book were the Misses Donna Abbott and Kathy Hanks. Assisting with the gifts were Tammy and Lisa Robinson and Sherri Judd. Mrs. Kristine Thornton Thorn-ton was in charge of the refreshments, assisted by Mrs. Dorothy Robinson and Mrs. Cleo Edwards. The serving was done by Becky Robinson, Andrea Clark, Kim Cutler, Jewell Moter and Sheral Torres. Appropriate organ music was played by Mrs. Melva Barton. The young people had a short honeymoon trip to Las Vegas and are now at home in Paragonah. |
