Show Californian dozes ..rolls Camper An out-of-state family narrowly missed serious injury when their truck and cab-over camper rolled over in a one-car accident near the Hamilton's Fort turn exit on 1-15 Saturday night. Investigating officer Herb Katz of the Utah Highway Patrol said the accident was apparently caused by dozing at the wheel and then overcorrecting on the f part of the dirver, John Winward, Hedondo Beach, Calif. Winward, about 30, and two of his children were uninjured unin-jured but passengers in the camper, including two more children, a sister and his father, were treated for minor injuries a! Valley View Medical Center. All injured were later released by the hospital. A second car narrowly excaped involvement in-volvement in the accident, Katz said, as the driver observed Winward "closing in on him from behind." The Nevada driver pulled off into the emergency lane to the right and soon after Winward rolled into the left median. |
