Show Dove Hunting Dates Set The Utah Wildlife Board met recently to set the 1977 mourning dove and band-tailed band-tailed pigeon hunting seasons. The hunts, next fall, will run concurrently from September 1 through the 30th. Bag and possession limits for doves will once again be 10 and 20 respectively; for pigeons, five and ten. Legal hunting hours will be from one-half hour before sunrise to sunset (Mountain Daylight Savings Time). The mourning dove season is open statewide. Band-tailed pigeon may be hunted in Beaver, Garfield, Grand, Iron, Kane, Millard, Piute, San Juan, Sevier, Washington and Wayne counties. The board also approved a request from the Colorado Dvision of Wildlife to transplant threadfin shad eggs from Lake Powell to various waters in Colorado. The present population of threadfin in Lake Powell will not be adversely affected. |
