Show mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Changes made in Parowan Stake PAROWAN - Several changes were effected at the recent Quarterly Conference of the Parowan Stake, it has been announced by President J. Phillip Hanks. Released from positions on the Stake High Council were Alma C. Lawrence an d Kent C. Wilson. Roy Benson, Jr. and Robert A. Rasmussen, who had been serving as alternates, were sustained to replace them. Donald E. Cartwright, Stake Sunday School President, was released along with his councilors Chester L. Benson and Jay H. Grimshaw. The new Presidency consists of Lorin C. Jones, President, Reed L. Orton, First Councilor, and Bert Felstead as Second Councilor. The Young Women's and Young Men's presidencies were also reorganized. Kent C. Wilson was called to serve as President of the Young Men, assisted by Carlyle Gurr and Alma C. Lawrence, with Ronald Johnson as Secretary. The Young Women's Presidency consists of Cheri Smith, President, Beverly O. Taylor, First Councilor and Anna Mecham, Second Councilor, with Shirley Baltzer as Secretary. Sustained as Young Adults President was Frank Scott, and Mrs. Dot Smith was named Secretary to the Parowan Stake Reliel Society. Released from these positions were Alma Adams and Peggy H. Benson. Other business of the conference included several Priesthood appointments and a comprehensive statistical report on attendance at-tendance and activity of various groups in the Stake. |
