Show Through mail balloting Coordinating Council Conducts Election n Ballots for the Central Committee Com-mittee of the Cedar City Coordinating Coor-dinating Council are being mailed out next week. They will be mailed to many community leaders. The Coordinating Council is a Community School Organization and any interested citizen js entitled to vote. Anyone who does not receive a ballot in the mail may vote at the office of the Iron County School District where they may obtain a ballot. It is requested that all ballots be voted and returned as soon as possible. Votes will be counted by July 15. 5 The individuals whose names appear on the ballot are: Jaunita Esplin, Beverly Gardner, Max Miller, and Dave Hohulin. Two will be elected to serve for a three year term on the Central Committee which is the executive boey of the Coordinating Coor-dinating Council. They will succeed Earl Hanson and Ruby Smith. MAX MILLER JUANITAC. ESPLIN BEVERLY HALL GARDNER Beverly Hall Gardner was born in Jerome, Arizona. She attended school in Winslow, Arizona and graduated from High School in Richfield, Utah. She attended BYU where she earned a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education after which she taught school in Richfield. Rich-field. Mrs. Gardner lived in Delaware, Illinois and California before moving to Cedar City five years ago where her husband was affiliated with Utah Properties Real Estate Corporation Cor-poration later changed to Gardner Gard-ner Operations. She is married to Dallin Gardner. They are the parents of five children and care for a foster Indian child. Since coming to Cedar, Mrs. Gardner, has been active, in community affairs. She was president last year of the South Elementary PTA, is a member of the board of Iron County Cowbelles, and is active in the LDS Church. She recently was K Chairman" of a; community"" committee to study educational facilities and needs. Max Miller was born in Denver, Den-ver, Missouri. He graduated from High School in Sidney, Nebraska before completing a tour of duty in the U.S. Navy. He has a graduate degree in banking from the University of Colorado. He worked as a banking examiner with the Treasury Department for the United States Government before entering the field of commercial banking where he served as Executive Vice President of National Bank of Newcastle, Wyoming, . then with First Security Corporation. He is presently, serving as Assistant Manager of First Security Bank of Cedar City. He is Past President of Cedar City Chamber of Commerce and past Director of Kiwannis International, In-ternational, is active in Scouting serving as Chairman of Cedar Breaks Council. He is serving as Secretary of the Cedar City Band of Piutes. He is active in the Catholic Church, "v - Mr. Miller married th former Louise Mauler and they are the parents of three children. Jaunita Chamberlain Esplin was born at Jacobs Lake, Arizona. She grew up in Or-derville, Or-derville, Utah, attended school there and graduated from Valley High School. She attended Southern Utah State College in Cedar City, for . two years and was active in student affairs. While there, she served as vice president of the student body. . She lived in Logan while her husband attended Utah State University, in Salt Lake City, and in Nephi for 11 years. Her husband is Lynn Esplin, County agent for Iron Countyand they are the parents of five children. They came back to Cedar City to live in 1972. Mrs. Esplin has held -many leadership positions, in PTA. ; While in Nephi she served as vice president of a PTA unit.- She has been a leader in 4H organizations , and has held several leadership . positions in her church. At the Ipresent-timef'Bhe is serving as 1 President of Relief Society in Enoch Second Ward. i.S - A ' tY Wave hohulin ' Mr. Dave Hohulin, Plant Manager for Morton Metal Craft Company, yas born in Goodfield, Illinois. He attended school there and graduated from Eureka High School. He has a bachelors and a Masters degree from Colorado State University at Fort Collins, Colorado and has completed a four year educational training program with Caterpillar Company. He came to Cedar City three years ago with Morton Metal Craft Company. Since coming here, he has been active in civic affiars. He has been a board member of Chamber of Commerce, a member of Elks, Lions, and Masons. At the present time, he is serving on" the Recreation Committee of the Cedar City Coordinating Council and the District Boy Scout Committee. Mr. Hohulin is married to the former Dorothy Janssen of Illinois and they are the parents of three children. |
