Joe Gold rejoins staff at VVMC Joe Gold has rejoined the staff at the Valley View Medical Center as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist, it is announced an-nounced by Mrs. Mary Smith, acting director. Gold served eight years at the Iron County Hospital before leaving for Bess Kaiser Hospital in Portland, Oregon where he completed extensive training and work toward certification. "The experience that I have received, and the work thai I completed while at Bee Kaiser is invaluable," Gold indicated. He left Valley View Medical Center in October of last year to join the Portland, Ore. hospital staff and to work toward his certification as an Anesthetist. "The work has all been completed and I expect to . receive my certification this year," Gold stated. While at Bess Kaiser Gold received special training and experience in techniques, ventilation, ven-tilation, electro cardiogram and new techniques in long-term muscle relaxants. A native of Rochester, Minn. Gold received his training at the Mayo Clinic before joining the staff at Valley View Medical Center where he spent eight years. His return to staff at the hospital was effective March 31. Gold, his wife Regina and son Joey all expressed their gratitude in returning to Valley View Medical Center. "We are very happy to be back and to be a part of this hospital and a part of this community," Gold commented.
