Show Ella P. Ho lyoak, active Church worker, dies; honored at Services if i 1 'Xyi invocation was by Marlow Topham, benediction by Elmo Orton, and the dedication of the grave by Charles E. Seagle. Special musical selections included a duet "Take My Hand Precious Lord" by Mamie Eck. and Lois McConnell, accompanied ac-companied by Marilyn Prince. A solo number "Abide With Me", by Howard Wood, also accompanied ac-companied by Marilyn Prince and the speaker was Charles E. Seagle. Interment was in the Cedar City Cemetery under the direction of Metcalf Southern Utah Mortuary. ELLA P. HOLYOAK Ella Pendleton Holyoak, 81, of 354 Center Street, Cedar City, died at Valley View Medical Center of natural causes Friday-April Friday-April 2. '' 7 Mrs. Holyoak was born January 18, 1896 in Parowan, Utah to William Willis and Mary Baker Gurr Pendleton. On December 21, 1914 she married Heber Charles Holyoak in Parowan. Later solomnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Mrs. Holyoak assisted Dr. J. S. Prestwich as midwife in home deliveries, mother and child care for numerous families in Cedar for many years. She was a volunteer nurses aid during World War II and was associated witli the Iron County Hospital. She was with the Red Cross home nursing training program and spent many years as a home nurse. She was an active LDS member and has held the position of president and counselor. coun-selor. She spent time as an American Legion Aux. VFW. Survivors include husband, two daughters and two sons. Mrs. Edward (Elnora) Seagle, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Veldon (Delia) Brown. Las Vegas, Nevada; William Heber Holyoak, Sherman Sher-man Oaks, California; Boyd Holyoak, Las Vegas, Nevada; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; one brother and three sisters, Donald Pendleton; Clista Davis; Sarah Jackson; Delia Nagor. Funeral services were held Tuesday April 6, 1976 at 1 p.m. in the Cedar City LDS 12th Ward Chapel with Glen E. Pryor, member . of Bishopric conducting. con-ducting. Family prayer was offered by Bishop Raymond K. Baker, |
