Show Special Valentine's Concert A special Valentine's Day Concert will be held February 14 at Southern s . Utah State College featuring -the school's College-Community College-Community Symphony Orchestra. The program will be offered of-fered free to music lovers and will begin at 8:15 p.m. in the Frank A. Thorley Recital Hall. "Included in the program will be symphonic music written by Beethoven, Schubert, Lalo, Nicolai and Borodin," David Nyman, director of the 60-member SUSC orchestra, said. Appearing as the soloist for Lalo's "Symphonie Espagnole" is Laraine Hope uutram, an 18-year old SUSC sophmore from North Hollywood, Calif., who has been playing the violin since she was 5 years old. The SUSC music education major is the concert mistress for the SUSC symphony orchestra. She has studied under Mae Friese, Studio City, Calif., Mademoiselle Robin, Conservatory of Music, Tours, France; Bonita Coodley, Tarzana, Calif.; Joachim Chassman, Sherman Oaks, Calif. ; and is now a student of Professor Nyman at SUSC. She is the daughter of Dr. G. Earle Outram. L.P.T., Las Vegas, and Professor Delilah S. Outram, North Hollywood, Calif. The SUSC College-Community College-Community Symphony Orchestra will present the same program in Page, r Arizona, February 10 as part of that city's music arts series. |
