Show "Madam Butterfly" aired on KGSU-FM Puccini's ever-popular "Madama Butterfly" will be broadcast live direct from the stage of the Metropolitan Opera House in New York City this Saturday. It will be heard over Radio Station KGSU-FM beginning at noon. Singing principal roles for the Texaco-Metropolitan Opera Radio Network "production will be soprano Teresa Zylis-Gara, Mezzo-soprano Mezzo-soprano Shirley Love, tenor John Alexander, and baritone Allan Monk. Richard Woitach will con duct " During the first intermission in-termission "Opera News on the Air," William Weaver will present a special feature on the Puccini family. Panelists on Texaco's Opera Quiz during the second intermission will be Byron Belt, Robert Jacobson and William Livingstone, with Quizmaster Edward Bownes. KGSU-FM is owned and operated by Southern Utah State College. It is located at 90.1 megahertz on the radio dial. |
