Show Ralph C. Adams, Cedar Native, dies in bas Vegas; Services held 3 ''yf:jM ill vK ? Tj -y u J Ralph Comer Adams age 79, of 237 North . 300 West, Cedar City died in a Las Vegas hospital February 2, 1979. He was born October 29, 1899 in Cedar City to Lorenzo James and Ellen Louise Houchen Adams. On June 18, 1922 in Parowan he married his sweetheart Ireta Hulet. They were later solemnized in the St. George Temple on June 18, 1966. She preceeded him in death on February 11, 1974. Mr. Adams was a member of the LDS Church and a school teacher in Southern Utah. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service as a mail carrier for over 35 years in the Cedar City area. He was secretary for the Elks Lodge BPOE 1556 for many years. Survivors includes two daughters: Mrs. John (Lola) Peshel of Las Vegas, Nev. ; Mrs. Garth (Barbara) Esplin of Cedar City; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; two brothers and one sister: Cecil Adams of Cedar City, Sturman Adams of Golden, Colorado and Mrs. Meta Nurse of Woodland, California. Funeral services were held Tuesday February 6, 1979 at 1 : 00 p.m. in the Cedar 3rd Ward Chapel with Ray Christensen . officiating. RALPH C.ADAMS Family prayer was offered by Rex Hulet with Lois Fry rendering the prelude and postlude music. Carlisle Hulet gave the invocation followed by an eulogy by Gene Cardon. Speakers were Oscar Jay Hulet and John R. Logan. Musical solos were sung by Helen DeMille and Christine Winterrose. Ray Christensen gave closing remarks folowed by Gary Adams offering the benediction. Interment was in the Cedar City Cemtery with Robert Garth Esplin giving the dedicatory prayer. Services were under the direction of Boyer Southern Utah Mortuary. |
