Show One-on-0ne Winners Championship play-offs in the 4-H One-On-One Basketball program were held Saturday, Feb.3, in Cedar City. Winners were determined in six age groups from 9 years to 14 for both boys and girls. The following boys and girls won their age group and will represent Iron County in the Southwest Five County play-offs in Cedar City Saturday , February 10. at 1:30 p.m. in the Cedar Jr. High gym: 9 year olds-Hayley Briggs & Steve Embley; 10 year olds-Toni olds-Toni Baldwin and Curtis Jones; 11 year olds-Paula Sawyer and Kirt Lambeth all of Cedar City. Winners in the 12 year olds Beverly Braumbley of Cedar City and LaDel Laub of Beryl. The 13 year olds were Darla Hunt of Beryl and Layne Reeves of Cedar City. Fourteen year old winners were Monica Pendleton of Parowan and John Stokes of Cedar City. The One-On-One Basketball program is conducted by the Utah State University Extension Service Ser-vice through their 4-H program. Iron County schools and the Community School program also cooperated. Volunteer leaders from throughout the County acted as coaches for the different groups. Winners of the Five County tournament will compete in a State tournament tour-nament at Utah State University in Logan on Feh.23. New Mexico. New action for the T-Birds will be the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference championships to be held at Colorado Mines, Saturday, February 17. |
