Show Changes made in Parowan Stake PAROWAN - During Ward Conference in the Parowan Third Ward Sunday, a new Young Women's presidency was sustained. The new President (and Laurel leader) is Mrs. Sharon C. Dalton, with Mrs. Bertha Rowley as assistant (and Mia Maid leader). Continuing as Mrs. Dalton's other assistant is Mrs. Angela Gurr, with Mrs. Beverly C. Pendleton as Secretary. Mrs. Dalton came to Parowan about six years ago from Southern California, where her parents, Mrs. Mary Hainey and Mr. Richard Cook, still reside. She is married to Charles H. Dalton, and has three young daughters. Sharon has held : various assignments in the 3rd Ward Mutual, and especially enjoys sports. The new assistant, Mrs. Rowley, is new to the Ward, moving to Parowan from California with her husband and family in November. She is the wife of Harvey T. Rowley and has four children. Mrs. Rowley spent her earlier years in Indiana, where her father, Arthur Woodke, still makes his home. She worked as a teacher aide in the California schools, but is now enjoying the role of homemaker. A convert to the church, Mrs. Rowley has been active in all the auxiliaries in California. She was recently Stake Young Women's Secretary. Mrs. Gurr is a Parowan native, the daughter of Bud and Jean Orton. She is married to Carlyle Gurr and has one son. Mrs. Pendleton was also born and raised in Parowan, the daughter of Lawrence and Augusta D. Adams. She is married to John C. Pendleton Pen-dleton and they are parents of five children. |
