Show CHS visitation program Cedar High School is in the second year of a public visitation program. This program is intended to stimulate the awareness of the general public with regard to Cedar High School programs, policies, activities, ac-tivities, and atmosphere, as well as the learning situations being provided for the students. The Utah State Board of Education and the Iron County Board of Education have openly advocated increased in-creased public involvement in public education. This visitation program is one of the attempts being made by Cedar High School to increase in-crease the involvement of the residents of Cedar City in their high school. The visitation program is a joint effort of the Cedar High School PTA and the faculty and staff of Cedar High School. It is hoped that this program will involve a broad cross-section of area residents and result in greater public awareness and concern for the high school along with providing a means for the public to voice concerns and ideas. The ultimate goal of this program is active public involvement in the processes of Cedar High School. People interested in visiting the high school under this program are encouraged to contact either Jeanette Slack at 586-8560, Dr. Jerald Hawley at 586-6521, or Steve Laing at 586-6521. |
