Show Residents urged to use Eagle passports The 1971 Golden Eagle Passports are now on sale at all Forest Service offices on the Dixie National Forest, and at the following business establishments: Lake View Resort and Marina Mar-ina Southeast shore of Panguitch Lake. Pines Motel and Cafe Highway U-12, Between Highway High-way 89 and Bryce Canyon. Dixie Deer Lodge Motel and Cafe, Central, Utah Just off Highway U-18, between U-18 and Pine Valley. Veyo Merc, Veyo, Utah on Highway U-18. Sun Glow Motel and Cafe, Bicknell, Utah. The 1971 Passport is being sold at a price of $10, which is $3 higher than in previous years. The permit will be valid val-id through December 31, 1971. This annual entrance permit per-mit facilitates entrance, .into public outdoor "recreation areas operated by the United States Forest Service and other Federal agencies. These gen-cies gen-cies include the National Park Service. Bureau of Sport Fisheries, Fish-eries, and Bureau of Land Management. Some of the other agencies may charge a fee In addition to the Golden Eagle Passport. The Golden Eagle Passport Is a real bargain for people who make several visits to Federal recreation areas each year. It can be used without limit to the number of visits or the number of persons In a single private vehicle. The money collected under Land and Water Conservation Fund Act is earmarked by law for outdoor recreation. Revenues Reve-nues collected from permit sales under the Act, plus other oth-er income to the Fund, are used to purchase Federal recreation re-creation lands or are apportioned appor-tioned to the states and through the states to local governments where they are matched by state or local funds to provide state or community com-munity outdoor recreation facilities fa-cilities or land. Charges for Use of Dixie Na-tional Na-tional Forest areas will be as follows: Entrance Fees (camping and picing), 1. Each private noncommercial noncommer-cial vehicle (car, truck, motorcycle, motor-cycle, etc.) will be charged the possession of a Golden Eagle Passport or $1.00 per day. 2. People arriving by other means (foot, bus, etc.) will be charged $0:50 for each person 16 years of age or older. 3. Per day means time of purchase until noon the next day. User Fees (picnicing only). 1. Organized group use P'c-nic P'c-nic sites are available by reservation re-servation at a charge of $0.25 per person for each person per-son 16 years of age or older with a minimum charge of $5.00. 2. These rates cover use of the picnic sites only and overnight over-night camping will require payment of an additional entrance en-trance toe. |
