Show Parowan Firemen name officers, hold safety clinic At a meeting held last week by the Parowan Volunteer Firemen's Organization Albert Al-bert M. Orton, was relected as fire chief for an addition year with Dewey Topham assistant fire chief. The department is now made up of 23 members, Mr. Topham informs us. The Parowan Volunteer Fire Department is this week in the middle of a two-session First Aid course, being taught by Shyrl Chamberlain, safety safe-ty engineer for the Cedar City office of the state highway department. de-partment. One session was held on Wednesday of last week and one was held Wednesday of this week. They are being held in the Parowan High School. The members of the local fire department are being be-ing joined in the course by 10 men from the area department of highway contractors. |
