Show PARAGONAH NEWS Cedar City. Saturday a Stevens family reunion was held at the 1111-miin 1111-miin Stevens home and all eight of the original members arid many others were present. Mrs. Hilma Lamoteaux ' Mr. and Mrs. Joseph K. Barton Bar-ton and their family of five arrived home Sunday from a 'nine day vacation trip which took them through the Northwest North-west and into Canada. and four youngsters of Phoo-nix, Phoo-nix, Arizona arrived here Saturday Sat-urday for a two weeks' stay In the area. They are guests at the home of Mrs. Melva Barton. Mrs. Hoene Lund and daughter daugh-ter Gayle left Wednesday for a trip to Long Beach, Calif, for a visit with the 11. L. Mc-Gookin Mc-Gookin family and to attend Jon McGookins wedding. On Wednesday afternoon Mr. and Mrs. Orson Talbot, daughters Judy and Mrs. Anna An-na Mellor and the latter's children traveled to St. George for a visit with, the Brent Talbot Tal-bot family. Mrs. Mellor and the children returned to their homo In American Fork Friday. Fri-day. Mr. and Mrs. Talbot inform us that their daughter Beth and her husband, Justin Fairbanks Fair-banks are moving to Thatcher, Arizona from Salt Lake City. Tuesday Mr. and Mrs. Aquil-la Aquil-la Robinson and two children of Las Vegas, Nevada were here bringing with them the mother, Mrs. Maude Robinson of Kanarravllle. Wednesday evening the Boardman.s traveled trav-eled to Kanarravllle for a get together with these and Mrs. Lu Ella Hawkins and members of her family. Sgt. and Mrs. Lynn Kay Topham arrived here Tuesday Tues-day for a 15-day leave with Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth CJ. Top-ham Top-ham and other relatives. They are from Norton Air Base, San Bernadino, Calif. Miss Helen Stones and her mother, Mrs. Sarah Stones, left for Santa Cruz, Calif, by air Saturday for a few days' visit with the Raymond Lowe family. fami-ly. Mrs. Miriam Limb and three of her family of Beaver were here Saturday to visit with Mr. and Mrs. James H. Anderson. Klea and Lee Abbott and! Robert Barton left Thursday for a trip to California with a group of their summer school companions. The trip was to Include visits to various colleges, col-leges, art galleries, Disneyland Disney-land and other interesting places. Mr. and Mrs. Myron Abbott and their younger children traveled to Ogden and back on Saturday by way of Richfield. Rich-field. They took Ricky Robinson Robin-son home to Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Rex Goodwin and children of Las Vegas were in town for the weekend. week-end. When they returned re-turned they brought the four Topham children with them to visit for a time. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Dalton arrived here Saturday after vacationing most of the week to Salt Lake City and the Rifle, Colorado area. In Salt Lake they visited with the Bill In-glesbys. In-glesbys. In Colorado they s.w Rex Robinson and Howard Robinson families and Charles and Carol Jo Bennett. Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Topham and son Vince of St. George , visited at the Bertha S. Topham Top-ham homo one day last week. Edgar Lister of Hawthorne, Calif., was in town Saturday to visit with his brother and their families. Mrs. Nellie Bracken of Salt Lake City is here visiting with her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Monte Toulson. She brings greetings to the Paragonah people from a 1 former resident, Mrs. Nora Lund. A number of young people! traveled to Duck Creek last week for the older 411 Club members' annual outing but the rainy weather made so many problems that some came home early. Among those who went were Wendy and Holly Robinson, Louise Davenport, Bonnie Judd, Lor-ri Lor-ri Poulson, Mary McKee, and Peggy" Lamoreaux. Lowe, Mrs. Lois Orton, Mrs. Zelma Robb, daughters Ginger Ging-er and Mrs. Penny Ward were in Cedar City Saturday evening even-ing for the wedding festivities for Miss Tanna Mosdell. came from St. George for the weekend, the Jack Lister family fam-ily came from Washington for Sunday and the Rex Goodwin family joined the group for dinner. Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Robb entertained en-tertained the retiring Bishopric Bishop-ric and the new members, at a party at their home Monday evening of last week. Dinner was served and visiting was enjoyed. Present were Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Robinson, Mr. and Mrs. Homer Boardman, Bishop and Mrs. Myron Abbott and Mr. and Mrs. Milton Poulson. Miss Jill Stevens of Cedar City visited here for several days last week with her grandparents, grand-parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ivan renovating it. Mr. and Mrs. John R. Relatives here have received re-ceived word that Mr. and Mrs. Larry Clark of Henderson are parents of a fine baby girl, i This makes Gene and Colleen Clark first time grand parents and Mrs. Elizabeth Lamoreaux a great -grandmother again. Mr. and Mrs. Dean Robinson Robin-son had visitors Sunday. Some of their old friends from Taft, California, Mr. and Mrs. Howard How-ard Munson and children Ray and Jolene. The family is moving mov-ing to Cedar City. A former Paragonah resident, resi-dent, Dr. Lanell Topham and his neice Peggy Topham of Delta were credited with saving sav-ing the life of an Ogden girl Saturday when she was found at the bottom of a pool. Lanell dove in to get the girl out of the water and young Miss Topham applied mouth to mouth recussitation. |
