Show Equipment arrives to put nev well in culinary system Mayor Ralph Orton informs us that the needed equipment to place the water from the' well drilled more than a year ago in the southeast section, of the city, into the city culinary culin-ary water system, arrived recently re-cently and will be installed by city employees as soon as possible. The new well, on the ridge south of where the Mitchell sawmill was located, was drilled a year and a half ago, with the idea of furnishing an additional supply of water for the city system, which is now badly in need of it. The city called for bids for the neces- sary items of equipment needed need-ed to complete the project some weeks ago. These include in-clude a pump, motor, pipe and fittings for the project, and we understand they are now on hand ready for instal- , lation. The water from the well is to be put into the city water mains which run close to the , well, under a pressure plan , which eliminates need of a storage tank. |
