Show Fine program set for observance of Utah Pioneer Day Last minute preparation are being made for the observance of Utah's Pioneer Day (July) 21) today, Thursday, with the observance being sponsored by the Parowan Second Ward of the LDS Church and the officers offi-cers and teachers of the Primary Pri-mary Association in charge. I They extend an invitation to all members of the community commu-nity to join with them is celebrating cele-brating the arrival of the pioneers pi-oneers to Salt Lake Valley on July 21, 18-17. And they are building their program for the day around an old time Pioneer Day Celebration The day's program will begin with the flag raising at 9 a. m. This will be followed by an around the block parade with . everyone invited to costume and join in the line of march. The parade will end at the front door of the Ward cultural hall and all are invited to come in and enjoy a program presented by the ward Primary Pri-mary members. This will be followed by a noon meal, prepared and served by the ward Relief Society So-ciety Ladies. And here again they are preparing a special menu which will feature venison ven-ison and mutton prepared in the old bake skillet way. To these will be added all the trimmings for the meal. A special treat will be homemade home-made ice cream and snow cones. The entire program for the for everyone has been arranged arrang-ed for everyone, and the day will be climaxed by an old time dance. T entire program for the day is under the direction of the Second Ward Primary officers offi-cers and teachers, with all ward members and auxiliaries auxiliar-ies helping to make the day a big success. |
