Show ! Stake sponsoring Pioneer Day activities in Cedar I Pioneer Day in Cedar City, I which after many years of very little activity, is back in its rightful place as one of the important holidays of the year, and today, July 24th promises I to be in keeping with this new trend. The activities will feature a parade, public meeting and a wide variety of entertainment activities on the City park. Cedar Ce-dar Stake of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is sponsoring the activities activ-ities and all funds raised will be used to help complete the new Stake House, now nearing completion on 100 East 400 South Street. The parade, under the direction direc-tion of the Stake Primary Association, As-sociation, promises to be one of the best yet held here. It is scheduled to start at the Safeway Parking lot on South Main Street at 9:30 a.m. and proceed down Main street to the City park. The theme of the parade is "The Power of Unity." The Cedar City Camps of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers will sponsor a public meeting at the Cedar First-Fifth-Tcnth Ward Chapel, immediately fol-lowing fol-lowing the parade, and everyone every-one is invited to attend. Principal Princ-ipal speaker will be Kent Unlet, Un-let, which will highlight an excellent program. Following the parade and throughout the afternoon activities ac-tivities at the park will provide pro-vide entertainment for people of all ages. All kinds of competitive com-petitive activites will be provided, pro-vided, and many types of refreshments re-freshments will be available. |
