Show Heavy calls made for physicals, August inductions Eight Iron County men reported re-ported last week at the Selective Se-lective Service examining station sta-tion in Salt Lake City, for pre-induction physical examinations. exam-inations. Three of the men reported as regular registrants, one reported re-ported for re-examination, and four were students, whose deferment de-ferment status will not be effected ef-fected by results of the examinations. ex-aminations. A fourth regular registrant, transferred to Los Angeles for his examination. The nine men reporting included in-cluded seven from Cedar City one from Parowan, and one from Paragonah. They included includ-ed A. LeRoy Miler, who transferred trans-ferred to Los Angeles; David .S....COORPJV John R., Black, Ro-bert Ro-bert P. McKnighf, Dale . U. Hof f, ' Russel B. Shirts, and Phillip C. Baird, all of Cedar City; Wayne H. Robinson of Parowan, and J. Lowe Barton of Paragonah. One man was ordered to report this week for induction, Johnny W. Guffey of Parowan. The heaviest call in many months has been received fop August, with the. local board requested to send 14 men to the examining station j for pre-induction physical examination, ex-amination, and seven men for induction. The order calls for the men to report for induction in-duction on August 20, and the others to report for examinations examina-tions on August 21. |
