GORDON LEE CARLSON Carla Spencer and Gordon Carlson wed white bonded lace two-piece summer suit. The newlyweds honeymoon, ed through California enroute to their home in Eugene, Oregon. Ore-gon. They visited such places as Oakland, the Redwoods National Forest, Yosemite Park and continued their journey jour-ney up the California-Oregon scenic coastal route. The bride graduated in Elementary El-ementary Education from College Col-lege of Southern Utah. The bridegroom has fulfilled ful-filled a North German mission for the LDS church. He received re-ceived his Bachelor of Arts degree de-gree from CSU and is continuing continu-ing his graduate studies at the Uiversity of Oregon where he is majoring in German and teaching as an assistant. Prior to the wedding date the bride was honored at a bridal shower given by Miss Joyce Gardner. Wedding rites June 20th solemnized in the St. George Temple united in marriage Miss Carla Spencer, Glendale and Gordon Lee Carlson, Cedar City. President Rudger Atkin officiated at the double ring ceremony. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Spencer Spenc-er are the bride's parents and Mr. and Mrs. Leland Carlson are parents of the bridegroom. A reception honoring the newly married couple was held Saturday, June 21st in the Glendale Ward Cultural Hall. The bride's white empire gown featured a high neckline neck-line and puffed long sleeves accented by long cuffs. The lace bodice was trimmed with tiny pearls. A skirt of crepe and lace-organza train attached at-tached to the shoulders completed com-pleted the bride's attire. Her shoulder length veil was attached at-tached to a headpiece of tiny rhinestones and pearls. The bride held a bouquet of yellow daisies and roses. Mrs. Keith Anderson (Emily) (Emi-ly) and Mrs. Lloyd Baker (La-Vona), (La-Vona), sisters of the bride, were Matrons of Honor. The other bridesmaids were Misses Kathy Carlson, Janna Heaton, Jeannie Baker and Mrs. Roger (Linda) Williams. Flower girls were nieces of the bride, Misses Miss-es Julie Anderson, Barbara and Vicki Spencer. , The attendants W0j"e dresses of yellow dotted swiss trimmed trim-med with dainty white lace. They carried bouquets of yellow yel-low daisies and white pom poms. Best man was Dave Davies and Tom Simper, Rand Maxwell Max-well and Shirl Spencer ushered. ush-ered. The mothers of the bridal pair wore dresses in blue and green pastel colors. For her going away costume, the bride chose a blue and |
