Savings bonds rate of interest due jump Francis W. Detenson, Cedar City, volunteer bonds chairman chair-man for Iron County, was queried about the Treasury request re-quest to Congress to remove the interest rate ceiling on Savings Bonds and other Government Gov-ernment secritiejs. According to the chairman, "If the legislative request is approved, the Interest rate on Series E and H Savings Bonds win be raised from the current cur-rent 4.25 per cent to 5 per cent, if held to maturity.
