Show Two games remain on Little League ball schedule; Lions-Paragonah team in lead winner, according 1o Richard Dot son, league president. With only two games left in the Parowan Little League baseball play, it looks like the Lions-Paragonah team of Clark Lamoreaux has the title ti-tle all but clinched following a Monday night forfeit by the Bank of Iron County nine and a Lions-Paragonah win over Burton's Phillips "titi" team. I The Bank team was forced to forfeit the Monday night contest to Burton's when not enougli team members i appeared to play. Tuesday evening the Lions nine won over Burton's by a score of 4 to 0 with David Lamoreaux recording the win and Brent Barton taking the loss. In a game last Friday, held after the Parowan entry dropped out of tournament play at Beaver Thursday, Dave's American took a win over Lions-Paragonah by a 5 to 3 score. Phillip Hermansen was the winning pitcher and David Lamoreaux was the loser In this contest. In the two remaining contests con-tests for the year, on Friday evening Dave's American will meet the Bank of Iron County, Coun-ty, and on Monday the Lions-Paragonah Lions-Paragonah nine takes on the Bank nine in a game that may be needed by the former team to clinch the title. Next Tuesday evening the season will be climaxed for all players, managers and officers offi-cers of the league when a watermelon bust will be held at 6:30 at the ball park. At the same time a fine trophy wlil be presented to the title |
