Miss Linda Christensen, Mrs. 1 Danny Anderson and Miss ( Candi Sue Orton, a sister. Flower girl was Lisa Orton, cousin of the bride. They wore matching street-length dress-es dress-es of pink nylon with nylon ruffle trim all around. Flowers Flow-ers were tiny red rosebuds with red and pink streamers.. ' Pink double bows adorned " their hair. Best man was Douglas "Tex" Anthony,. Las Vegas; ushers were Tony Johnson, a brother bro-ther of the groom; Brent Ol- son, brother-in-law; Rex Orton Or-ton brother of bride and Robert Rob-ert Mercer, a brother-in-law. The mother of the bride wore a pink linen street-length ' dress; the mother of the bridegroom bride-groom wore a lavender lace two-piece street-length dress and both had red rose cor- 1 sages. The couple honeymooned in Yellowstone Park and Northern North-ern Montana for a week and for her going away costume the bride chose a white and Navy blue linen dress with sailor collar and navy blue , polka dot tie. The bride attended SUSC for . four vpai's. m;iiorinf in edu- In a wedding ceremony that took place on Wednesday, , June 3 in the Parowan Third Ward chapel, Miss Diana Orton Or-ton of this city became the bride of Burten Clay (Butch) Johnson of Harlem, Mont. Bishop Val Hyatt Bentley officiated offi-ciated in the double ring ceremony cer-emony at 6 p. m. in the chapel cha-pel which was decorated with baskets of red and pink peonies peon-ies and chrysanthemums. The organ was played by Mrs. D Robinton and Mrs. Brent Olsen sang "Whither Thou Goest" accompanied ac-companied by Mrs. George Williams. The new bride is a daughter daugh-ter of Mr. and Mrs. Worth L. Orton, Parowan; the bride-groom bride-groom is a son of Bruce A. Johnson, Harlem, Mont, and Mrs. Doris Johnson of Orem. A reception honoring the newlyweds was held in the Third Ward cultural hall that same evening from 8 to 30. For this event the bride wore a white floor length dress of peau de sole and lace with tiny seed pearls. The skirt was adorned with lace and gathered gath-ered in the back with two bows that formed a widepleat into a long train. Her veil ot white illusion was held to a crown of satin bows, seed pearls and rhinestones. Her flowers were red and white cation, dance and Spanish. She graduated at exercises on June 5 and was awarded Outstanding Out-standing dance award for 1969-70, and was a flag twirl- er three years. The bridegroom attended Ricks College at Rex-burg, Rex-burg, Idaho two years, then transferred to SUSC where he . . was active in athletics.. He was named best all-around cowboy at SUSC, and will continue his studies there in physical education. Assisting at the reception were Miss Sue Ferris at the guest book; Mrs. D Robinson, Mrs. Jim Robinson, Mrs. Geo. Williams, Mrs. Brent Olson, Miss Marna Johnson in charge of gilts; kitchen help, Mrs.-Hal Mrs.-Hal Orion, Mrs. Reed Orton, Mrs. Albert Orton. Mrs. Al-vin Al-vin Bradshaw did the catering and decorations for the cultural cul-tural hall. Serving were the Misses Linda Orton, Marsha Orton, Pat Williams, Melody and Marcia Johnson. Jill Orton Or-ton and Tavy Williams were gift bearers. The newly married couple will make their home in Cedar Ce-dar City. Out-of-town guests intruded intrud-ed Mrs. Doris Johnson and daughters Marna, Melody and Marcia of Orem, Mr. and Mrs. Brent Olscn and Mr. and Mrs. Evan Skinner and children, Provo; Mr. and Mrs. Tony Johnson and son, Ventura, Calif.; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Mercer and son, Anaheim, Calif.; Kim and Reed Rowland, Row-land, Salt Lake City; Linda Christiansen, Monroe; Mrs'. Danny Anderson, Richfield; Mrs. Martin Gubler, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Gubler and Miss Gayle Johnson, St. George; Mr. and Mrs. George Williams and family of Enterprise. |
