Show Appaloosa Horse Club members have busy summer The Color Country Appaloosa Appa-loosa Horse Club is enjoying the summer and its activities. The group rode in the July Fourth parade at Richfield and witnessed the rodeo and horse races following the parade. The group also enjoyed a trail ride that was held in New Harmony July 11. It consisted con-sisted of a trail ride and cook-out cook-out at the end of the trail. Over 32 participated in this event, including men, women and children. Club officers have encouraged encourag-ed families to join as many of the activities are centered center-ed around this type of activity- This week the club will participate par-ticipate in the Pioneer Day celebration in Cedar City as an entry in the annual parade. In August the group will participate parti-cipate in the Peach Day parade par-ade in Hurricane. According to Sylvia Curtis, publicty director for the club, plans are now in progress for giving away another beautiful beauti-ful colt this year. It will be a registered 1969 Colored Filly. This event will take place at the Iron County Fair Sept. 7. Donations will be $1 per ticket and tickets are available from any club member. |
