Show Pre-play activities greet patrons prior to Shakespearean Festival r-11" yiuik ' " r - Y i ' dancing. Kara Lynne was born in Junction, Utah, and raised in Ely, Nevada, where she met her husband, Bill. They are parents of two sons: Brett, 7, and Derek, 3. Bill teaches athletics at Parowan High School and is making an impressive record as a coach. Kara Lynne is currently I acting as Vice President of the Rocky Mountain Dance I Educators of America and operates op-erates her own dance studio. She was taught largely by her mother who js a profession! dance teacher. She has also studied with such people as Ralph Cannon at various summer sum-mer study sessions. Dancers Listed The dances in the pre-play activities this year will be performed per-formed by Ramaa Anker, Jill Barton, Kathy Chidester, Debbie Deb-bie DeMille, Debbie Evans, Deniso Penelton ann KARA LYNNE FARR j Have you ever sat beneath j the trees on a quiet, cool even, j raine Rowley. With one exception the girls are students stu-dents of Kara Lynne. The dancers dan-cers meet every day for several sev-eral weeks to prepare for the Shakespearean Festival. They practice each day for an hour and a half and prepare five or six dances which they will perform each evening of the festival. Kara Lynne's dances are as exciting as she is she likes to move and move she does! She tries to capture a "Gypsy" feeling in her dances because she feels the audience enjoys action and lots of movement. Watching her dancers dan-cers in action before the show you feel the mounting excitement excite-ment of the evening you smile at the person next to you you relax and enjoy a moment of quiet peace and the play begins. ing just to enjoy life? While you sit there enjoying the evening, have you ever heard music not loud screeching music, but calm, lively and strangely beautiful music and seen visions of lovely young ladies dancing nearby as you prepare for an exciting evening under western skies? Impossible in these days of war and turmoil? Not at all! Runs through August 8 Every evening from July 16 to August 8 the Shakespearean Shakespear-ean Festival in Cedar City, Utah, offers you just such an evening. As the golden sun slowly slips into her rosy nightclothes, the Shakespearean Shakespear-ean Festival begins with pre-play pre-play activities. These activities, activi-ties, which begin at 7:30 p.m., are planned to put you in a festive mood, so come, relax, sit back, smile and enjoy yourself. The evening is just beginning! Period music floats from the orchestra, ven-dors ven-dors drift among the guests and dancers appear before you are aware of them and quickly attract your attention to their exciting- movement's. Everything is done to create a mood for you to actively enjoy the evening's performance. One of the people responsible responsi-ble for some of this pre-play activity is Kara. Lynne Farr of Parowan, Utah. Like her creative crea-tive dances, she immediately attracts your eye because of her striking personality. A beautiful, auburn-haired woman, wo-man, she keeps your attention because she is vibrant with life. She enjoys what she does, ; whether it is talking to you, taking care of her family or |
