Play almost over in Little League baseball this week With the Parowan Little League all-stars participating in the district tournament being be-ing held in Richfield this week end, baseball games set for Thursday and Friday of will be postponed, we under- stand. Regular play will get under way again on Monday July 27 with the Parowan Dairy Freez to meet the Bank of Iron County at 6 p. m. According Ac-cording to the schedule the remainder of the week will be devoted to playing make- up games. j In games last week, with two game played, The Bank of Iron County won from Pink-ham's Pink-ham's Service by a 21 to 14 ! score when both teams ran out of pitchers, and with the losing team entering a protest pro-test against the winner be- cause the latter used a pitcher pitch-er who had already pitched his quota of innings for the week. Don Hulet was the winner in this contest with Cornell Orton taking the loss, depending depend-ing on the outcome of the protest. Monday night the game be- tween the Dairy Freez and Paragonah was called at the end of four inning because of rain with the Pargonah team leading 8 to 2. Paul Williamson was the pitcher for the Paragonah team and Gordon Mortensen was pitcher for the Dairy Freez in this one. |
