Winner of the Richfield Dis-trict Dis-trict tournament will travel to northern Utah to meet the northern district winner for the state Little League title. Cedar City on Thursday, July 30, at 8:30 p.m. will host the State Senior Little League tournament. Winner of the Parowan moot will be an entry en-try in the one-gamo state playoff in Cedar City. Cedar American and National Na-tional Littlo League teams were in action Wednesday in the opening round of play in the Richfield tourament, and both will be vicing for the right to enter the state meet. Cedar American opened the action Wednesday against Parowan and the winner is slated today, Thursday, to meet St. George Sunrise League, which drew an opening open-ing round bye. Cedar National opened a-gainst a-gainst West Zion League from the Hurricane area and winner of that game will play the winner of the Richfield, Mil-ford Mil-ford gamo. Losers will play losers in the consolation round. Friday at Parowan Cedar Senior Little Leagues will be matched against Richfield in the opening gamo of the tournament tour-nament and host Parowan will meet Tri-City. Parowan, however, how-ever, will advance automatically automatic-ally into the championship |
