Show Gun and Rod hunt nets 382 raddits ; in Saturday shoot The Parowan Gun and Rod 'Club did a fine service for the farmers in the lower end of , the valley near Little Salt 1 Lake when they staged a rabbit rab-bit hunt in that area with the ; result being the death of 382 of the long-eared varmits. At , their usual rate of. increase you can figure what the decrease de-crease in rabbit . population will be by mid-summer. Albert Orton, club president, reports that 17 men took part in the hunt, with Morris Ras- ; mussen being the high man, ; getting 43 rabbits. Other high scorers were Alan Stones, 40; Wells Orton, 36; Albert Orton, , 28; Ted Burton, 28; Kevin : Warren, 27; Eugene Robb, 30; Kerry Orton, 25; Elmer Mitch- ell, 23 and Mike Dalton, 24. Orton also announces that the next hunt will be held on Saturday, Feb. 21. The public is invited to join with the club members in the hunt, and all are to gather at the club house at 12:30 p. m. that day to leave for the shooting area ar-ea in a group. |
