Show PHS student wins in Elks Most Worthy Student competition j MISS RHONDA HINTON I Miss Rhonda Hinton, senior student at Parowan High School was one of two student stu-dent winners in the Elks Lodge Worthy Student contest conducted during the past several sev-eral weeks by Cedar BPOE Lodge No. 1556, according to word coming to us from the high school. Miss Hinton is the daughter daugh-ter of Mr. and Mrs. Arvin Hinton, with her father now serving with the U. S. Army in Vietnam and her mother residing here. In entering the contest, Miss Hinton had to compile and enter a brochure, telling of her life, and it was judged on her accomplishments, leadership leader-ship ability, church and school activities, etc. For being a winner in the local area contest, Miss Hinton Hin-ton is to receive a $50 Savings Bond. Her brochure has been entered, along with like brochures bro-chures from student winners picked by other Elks lodges in the State of Utah, in the contest sponsored by the Utah State Elks Association, with the winner in the state competition com-petition to receive a valuable scholarship. |
