Show Relative of Cedar City People Injured In Railroad Accident Mrs. Bob Clark flew to Salt Lake City to meet her mother, Mrs. Lewis Webster. The two ladies were called to northern Utah because of an accident Friday morning which injured Mrs. Webster's brother-in-law, J. A. Beveridge, 61, of Preston, Idaho. Mr. Beveridge, a railroad employee, fell from a patform on a boxcar and was dragged 43 yards along the track after wheels passed over both of his legs. According to Cache County Coun-ty Deputy Sheriff, Deloy Hall, Mr. Beveridge fell wen the boxcar was bumped by an engine. The victim was taken to Logan LDS Hospital. Hospital authorities auth-orities said both legs were severed sev-ered and the victim was in critical cri-tical condition following surgery. Mr. Beveridge is the husband of former Dora Smith, whose brothers, Henry, Wm. and Alf and sisters Manda Pace and Ruby Webster make their home in Cedar City. Both Mr. and Mrs. Beveridge and members of their family had been visiting here two days before the accident in Richmond, Cache County. |
