Show BPW Club Installs New Officers in Impressive Ceremony Mrs. Catherine Crichton, President Pres-ident of the Cellar City Business and Professional Women's Club, welcomed a large group of members mem-bers and guests to a Sunday morning breakfast at Sullivan's Cafe recently. A beautiful morning out-of-doors was reflected in the dining room with tables gaily decorated with red roses and other garden flowers. Being near July 4th, a patriotic theme and color scheme of red, white and blue were used. A copy of the Declaration of In-dpendence In-dpendence and a replica of the Liberty Bell were displayed. Miss Virginia Done, whose accompanist ac-companist was Mr. Reed Berrelt, lifted and inspired the group with her song, a musical arrangement of "The Pledge of Allegiance". Following this, the group joined in repeating the Pledge of Allegiance Al-legiance and the club Collect. Mrs. Freida Withrow and P.Irs. Edna Sargent gave their reports on various phases of the State Convention at Brigham City. Mrs. Crichton, retiring President, reported on the activities and accomplishments ac-complishments of the p;ust year. Miss Karla Hulet installed the new officers with an impressive ceremony. They are Miss Margaret Mar-garet Kopp, President; Mrs. Harriett Har-riett Matheson, Vice President; Mrs. Lura Stapley, Treasurer; Mrs. Josephine Rowley, Recording Secretary; and Mrs. Erma Matheson, Mathe-son, Corresponding Secretary. Mrs. Crichton presented the President's Pres-ident's pin to Miss Kopp and Miss Hulet presented the Past President's pin to Mrs. Crichton. The committee in chrarge of arrangements were Miss Karla Hulet, Mrs. Edna Sargent, Mrs. Blanche Dotson, and Mrs. Vera Sherratt. Those who contributed flowers from their gardens were Mrs. Thora Barton, Mrs. Lona Watson, Mrs. Clare Knell and Mrs. Mina Orton. |
