Trophies were donated by Sears, Roebuck & Co., and Ron's Sporting Goods. Other prizes were donated by merchants. Cedar City to Hold First Annual Invitational Baseball Tournament season ticket will be on sale for $2.00, according to Benson or individual games will include a 50 cent admission charge. Special Spec-ial prizes will be awarded on the admission tickets including a rod, reel, and line which has been donated by Hunter Hardware; Hard-ware; an 8 transistor radio donated don-ated by Northeast Furniture and a dinner for five donated by Hugh's Cafe. The four Cedar City teams not participating in regular league play will be combined into three teams for the tournament competition. The first annual Cedar City Invitation Baseball Tournament will be held in Cedar City July 25 through July 30, it was an-nouced an-nouced this week. The tournament will get underway under-way on Monday, July 25 as a part of the Pioneer Day celebration pionship game Saturday afternoon after-noon at 5:15 p. m. and will conclude with the cham- The tournament has been set up for boys 15 through 18 years of age and will include three teams from Cedar City made up of current league, plus teams from St. George, Enterprise, Kanab, Parowan, and Hurricane. At the conclusion of the tournament, tour-nament, trophies will be awarded. award-ed. A large throphy donated by Sears, Roebuck and Co. will be presented to the championship team and an outstanding player award trophy which has been donated by Ron's Sporting Goods. The Cedar City Pony League will act as host for the event and opening game will be played Monday, July 25, at 11:30 a. m. pitting Cedar No. 2 team against St. George. At 2 p. m. Cedar No. 3 will tangle with Enterprise and at 5 p. m. Cedar No. 1 and Kanab will meet. Parowan and Hurricane will meet at 5:15 Tuesday Tues-day afternoon, with first round winners to meet Wednesday and Thursday.
