Show All-Star Selections Made For Little League Teams During the past week the two Cedar City Little Leagues, the American and National, made selections of all-star teams which will compete in tournament play this season. Each league, meeting independently, indepen-dently, selected 14 man rosters of boys In the program 11 and 12 years of age. Managers of the teams within the league made the selections based on play through three-quarters of the season. sea-son. Toournament competition will begin on July 21 with the Cedar City National Little League All-stars All-stars hosting a tournament in Cedar City on that week end. The American Little Leagues will travel to Caliente, Nev. to participate par-ticipate in their first tournament on the same week end. Following is a roster of the Cedar Ce-dar City National Little League All-stars and the team from which they were selected: Columbia Iron Mines: Nolan Roberts, Layne Isom and Larry Romberger. Elks Lodge: Ricky Bonzo and Doug Watson. Junior Chamber of Commerce: ' Al D. Heaton, Rodney Cosslett and David Whitehead. Jones Motor Company: Carlin Adams, Travis Parashonts and Lewis Chamberlain. Lions Club: Boyd Corlett, Kim Thompson and Mike Rice. Managers of the National Little League will be Quenton Bowler with Gordon Twitchell to serve as assistant manager. Similar list in the American League follows: Rotary Club: Robert Jensen, Bobby Cormanl, Gene Cardon, Kim Leany and Billy Heyborne. Webster Coal Company: Ronald Ron-ald Adams, Bruce Johnson, Mafias Ma-fias Quintanilla, Jr., and Nolan Anderson. Milne Truck Line: Douglas Hirschi, Brent Hunter and Claire Milne. Kiwanis Club: Dale S. Orton and Ronald Meyers. Manager of the American League All-stars will be Matias Quintanilla with George H. Rhoades as assistant Manager. |
