Show Parowan Native Receives Forest Service Promotion, Transferred to Washington, D.C. Adrian Dalton, supervisor of the Manti LaSal National Forest for the past several years, has been promoted and is being transferred to Washington, D. C it was announced last week by Regional Forester, Floyd Iverson, of the Ogden Office of the service. serv-ice. Dalton is a former Parowan resident, a son of Rulan and the late Helen Dalley Dalton. He has been with the Forest service for almost 15 years. Prior to entering en-tering the Forest Service, he was with the Bureau of Land Management, Man-agement, and was stationed for a year or two at the Desert Range Experiment Station west of Mil-ford Mil-ford His first assignment with the Forest Service was with the office of-fice in Fillmore. From there he was tranferred to the Dixie Forest, For-est, being stationed at Panguitch where he headed the beetle eradication era-dication work on that division. From there he was transferred to Kemmerer, Wyo. then back to the Provo office of the Wasatch National Forest, and about three years ago was named as super- visor of the Manti LaSal National Nation-al Forest with headquarters at Price Under this promotion Dalton will become assistant director of the Division of Watershed Management, Man-agement, Mr. Iverson reports.. He has already made a trip to Washington, Wash-ington, D. C. to look over his new assignment and look for living quarters for his family and they are expected to make the move right after June 15, according to members of his family. Dalton is a graduate of the Parowan High School and a veteran vet-eran of World War Two. He is married to the former Sue Halterman, Halter-man, daughter of the late Samuel, Sam-uel, and Alice M. Halterman, and she and the children will move to Washington, D. C. with him. |
