Show I CEDAR CITY S0CML SWING by Virginia Webster . j Following the Friday night ( ball game, members of the birthday birth-day club met at the horn of Betty and Haze Hunter to celebrate cele-brate the blrthhday anniversaries anniversar-ies of two club members, Ethel Slack and Penny Rich. Pie and drinks were on the refreshment menu as the guests, which Included In-cluded husbands of the club ladies, la-dies, enjoyed visiting. The honored hon-ored guests were presented with gifts from the group. Invited to Join the party-goers for the event were Mr. and Mrs. Ross Glass . Cedar City guests here from Las Vegas were Mr. and Mrs. Scott Jenson. They enjoyed spending a portion of the week end with Scott's mother, Mrs. Elene Jenson. The week end jaunt wound up a seven day visit In this area for Mrs. Scott (Ira Lou) Jenson. Traveling to Las Vegas for the week end were Jack and Manda Pace and their children Kate and Lee. During their stay in Nevada they were guests of their daughter daugh-ter and son-in-law, Barbara and Ted Kelsey. Mr. and Mrs. Drex Adams welcomed wel-comed their daughter, Elizabeth and son-in-law Carl Yardley to their home for a week end visit recently. Mr. and Mrs. Yardley 'and youngster make their home in Panguitch. Spending Saturday evening at the new home of Don and Shirley Shir-ley Ence were several friends invited in-vited to enjoy "House Warming" i activities. Besides visiting, the couples enjoyed eating a deli-clous deli-clous Chinese dinner prepared by J. D. Dockstader. Guests were Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Jackson, Mr. and Mrs. Don Nelson, Mr. and Mrs. Pan Lindsay, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Hazel, Mr. and Mrs. Ken Imlay along with the J. D. Dock-staders, Dock-staders, Mrs. Afton Hartman and Mr. and Mrs. Austin Ence. A three hostess affair was the order of the social which held to the theme of a stork shower on January 11. Honored guests dur-I dur-I ing the stork party were Mrs. Kent Hulet and Mrs. Doug Webb. The two ladies met with other guests at the home of Mrs. Sheldon Shel-don Pickering. Co-hostesses helping help-ing Mrs. Pickering were Mrs. Harold Bryant and Mrs. Wayne Jones. Traditional entertainment was In store for all who attended at-tended which included Mrs. Gail Webb, Mrs. Howard Elmer, Mrs. Oscar Dutton, Mrs. Bill Condie, Mrs. Antone Hunter, along with Jean Hanneman, Julia Elmer, Mrs. Therol MacArthur, Mrs. Mac Armstrong, Mrs. Robert Skinner, Mrs. Bob Stratton and Mrs. Lowell Lo-well Sorenson. |
