Show George Hi. Hunier Dies of Heart Attack, Services Held Funeral services were conducted conduct-ed Tuesday afternoon in the Cedar Ce-dar Stake House for George Mur-ie Mur-ie Hunter, 72, life-long resident of Cedar City. Mr. Hunter died at his. home Saturday, Jan. 19, following a heart attack. Mr. Hunter was born in Cedar City on May 17, 1890, a son of George N. W. and Jane Williams Hunter, and has lived here all his life. ' He married Pauline Wood on Dec. 23, 1920, in the St. George TemDle. Church of Jesua Christ , of Latter-day Saints. lie wm a retired miner, and at the time of his death was vice president of the Cedar City Barracks, Veterans Veter-ans of World War 1. Survivors Include his widow; J and the following sons and daughters, Clyde W. Hunter, Washington, D. C; Antone P. Hunter, Cedar City; Richard W. Hunter, Orem; Mrs. W. C. (Nor-Ine) (Nor-Ine) Bells, Barstow, Calif.; Mrs. L..G. (Georgia) Merrill, Ogden; Mrs. Gary (Kathryn) Adams, Cedar Ce-dar City. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren and the following follow-ing brothers and sisters: Mont Hunter, Salt Like City; Mrs. M.'J. (Mary) Urie, 1 .is. Earl (Catherine) (Cather-ine) Morrywcather, Mrs. John (Gwon) Beal, all of Cedar City, and Mrs. Earl (Maude) Dennett, Lake View, Oregon. The services were conducted by Bishop Edwin C. Cox. Speakers were Samuel F. Leigh and Bishop Cox, and a tribute was given by Norman Heaton. Invocation was by Merrill Kunz, benediction by Preston Wood, and dedication of of the grave by Richard Hunter. Prayer at the mortuary prior to the services was by Rulon Wood. The musical program included A vocal duet, "Lead Me Cently Home Father," by Howard and Arma Wood, accompanied by Beth Leigh; a violin aolo by Roy L. Halversen, and a vocal nolo, -Abide With Me," by Blaine Johnson. |
