Show CoordinatingCouncil Meeting Attended By Special Groups The regular meeting of the Parowan Coordinating Council was held on Tuesday, April 5 with a good representation from civic groups In attendance, says Mrs, Fae N. Benson, coordinator. Special visitors at the meeting were Don West, sanitarian, and Cal Sudweeks, engineer from the State Department of Health, who had been Invited in to talk on the condition of Parowan city's water supply. These men made some urgent recommendations which they felt were needed to improve the phy-1 slcal conditions of the source of the city's water supply, especial- ly at the springs at the Five and Six mile in Parowan canyon. At the close of t':elr discussion, those In attendance passed a resolution, to be presented to the Parowan City Council, urging that the recommendations of the health department representatives representa-tives be carried out by the city. In other action taken during the mrriiiiK five WvTii piujcvi were outlined and responsibilities responsibili-ties for their progress were assigned as-signed to the following civic groups: Arts and crafts, daughters of Utah Pioneers; Road and travel markers, Sons of Utah Pioneers; Establishment of tiding and hiking hik-ing trals. Red Hill Wranglers; Tourist training school and tourist tour-ist accommodations. Exchange Club, and Information booth on city park. Chamber of Commerce. The head of each of the above Groups is to give a progress report re-port at the regular May meeting of the council. |
