Show Rational PTA Officer "Will Speak At Congress Session j Mrs. Leon F. Price, Dallas, Tex--as, member of the Publicity Committee Com-mittee of the NatlonM Congress C Parents and Teachers, will be the oflclal representative to the Utah PTA Congress convention to be staged in Cedar City, April 21 and 22. . Host of the convention will be the Cedar City Central Council of PTA with Mrs. Wayne Clo-ward Clo-ward and Mrs. Gordon Bring-hurst Bring-hurst as co-general chairmen. All units of the PTA in Cedar Otl and several special committees commit-tees have prepared events for the state-wide convention that 1s expected to bring between 400 and 500 PTA delegates into the, 3ommunlty. ! - Presiding over the activities of the convention will be Ellvert H. Himes, president of the Utah Parent Teachers. j General sessions of the convention conven-tion will be held Thursday and Friday forenoon and Thursday afternoon. Convention Is scheduled schedul-ed to adjourn Friday at 1 p.m. allowing those In attendance to return to their homes throughout the state during the afternoon. Greater part of the delegates are expected to begin arriving in Cedar City Wednesday, April 20. Mrs. Price, as president of the Texas Congress of Parent Teachers, Teach-ers, has been a memhrr of the National Board since 1953, serving serv-ing as vice chclrman of the state presidents' conference for a year, as a member of the 1954 and 19536 convention management committees, and on the committee com-mittee to nominate chairmen. She Is now a member-at-large of the Executive Committee (as chairman of the national chairmen's chair-men's conference) and a member of the group relations committee. commit-tee. Mri Price became president of the Texas Conference after holding hold-ing the chairmanships of the public relations, narcotics education, edu-cation, and school lunch committees com-mittees and the office of vice president Mrs. Price will address the . -opening session of the convention conven-tion at the CSU Auditorium Thursday forenoon.
