Show I Kent E. Myers Receives Church MIA Honor KENT E. MTERS Kent E. Myers, first counselor In the Sixth Ward bishopric, has been awarded the Master M-Men Award by the Church of Jesus Christ of Later-day Sahi s. This award is made for outstanding achievement in the Mutual Improvement Im-provement Association and the Priesthood work of the church. Mr. Myers attained all the goals required In five seperate fields of endeavor in the Church. Some of the activities in the Church, which led to the award were: holding two executive po- sitlons in the organizations of the Church, having an article published in the Improvement Era, displaying a work of creative crea-tive art in his M-Men class, participating par-ticipating in a three-act play, giving two talks at Church meet-lgs, meet-lgs, participating in the ward choir, participating in two All-Church All-Church basketball tournaments, and many other achievements. The award was made at stake conference by A. Elihu Whatcott, a member of the Cedar Stake Presidency, in the MIA session on March 1. Mr. Myers was the only on-ly M-Man to receive the award I at this conference. |
