Show BPW Club Hears Discussion on College Development Miss Karla Hulet, president of the Cedar City Duclm-ss and Professional Pro-fessional Women's Club, greeted 28 members and guests at the regular meeting at Sullivan's Cflfe. The tables were gay end colorful wilh an Easter motif. The Personal Development committee com-mittee consisting of Mrs. Ada Jones, chairman; Mrs. Ethel Smith, Mrs. Blanche Dotson, and Mrs. Edna Sargent, were In charge of the program. Two young boys, Larry Cody and Frank Ed-dleman, Ed-dleman, entertained with songs, "Dear Hearts and Gentle People", Peo-ple", and "Deep In the Heart of Texas." They were accompanied by Mrs. Shirley Jones. Also Mrs. Gloria Butcher played the guitar and sang, "Saw Movie" and "Give You Ixve." Mrs. Jones presented Dr. Richard Rich-ard Thompson, a member of the faculty of the College of Southern South-ern Utah. He discussed the development de-velopment and potential of the college. He also pointed out what It means to students and to Cedar City in the matter of increased revenue. A nominating committee, consisting con-sisting of Mrs. Edna Sargent, Mrs. Alt a Johnson and Mrs. Anne Edwards, was named to draw up a ticket of officers for 1965-66. |
