City Council Names Recreation Directors For Summer Season Cedar City Council approved Thursday the appointment of Ken Benson to serve as director of the Summer Recreation Program Pro-gram with LeVell Chamberlain I to serve as assistant. Benson, who received a scho- larship grant to study toward his master's degree, was charged with the responsibility of setting up the recreational program prior pri-or to his leaving in June, with Chamberlain to assist and assume as-sume direction of the program at that time, according to City Recreation Rec-reation chairman, Therol McAr-thur. McAr-thur. It was also announced that ap-lications ap-lications for work in the recreation recrea-tion program were now being accepted for all phases of the program, both men and women. Deadline for filing applications has been set for May 1. Applications Appli-cations should be directed to Mr. i Benson. It was requested, however, that only those out of high school would be considered.
