Show New Sugar Loaf Cafe to Open HereThisWeek The new Atkin's Sugar Loaf Cafe, located at 301 South Main in Cedar City, will open its doors to business this week end. Cedar City's newest business establishment, the Sugar Loaf Cafe Corporation headquartered in St. George, is expected to be one of the finest restaurant facilities fa-cilities in the southern portion of the state. The Cafe, which will open at 6 a. m. and close at 10 a. m. daily, will serve breakfast, lunches lun-ches and dinners, featuring as a specialty of the house, broasted chicken and broiled steaks, according ac-cording to Bruce Atkin, who will serve the establishment as manager. man-ager. A formal Grand Opening Is expected to be May 1 and 2, he stated. The structure exterior is of split block and waa designed by L. Robert Gardner of Cedar City. General contractor was Blackburn Black-burn and Gower of Cedar City, and the Dohrmane Hotel and Supplies, was given the furnishing furnish-ing contract. The cafe is of modern appointment appoint-ment and designed to accommodate accommo-date approximately 157 people. The separate dining area seats 64, Atkin stated. The kitchen facilities feature the latest squip-ment squip-ment and techniques based on a study of both commercial and institutional dining centers, it was stated.
