One of the highlights of the program will be her reading of Clemont Moore's "'Twas the Night Before Christmas" with Bil Baird's Marionettes enacting the story. Telephone Hour Plans Christmas Spectacular The many weii-loved sights and sounds of Christmas will be brought to television viewers over ov-er the Bell Telephone Hour This Christmas Eve. The program will be carried by NBC-TV, at 8:00 p. m. Jane Wyatt will host the show and recite the poem, "Twas the Night Before Christmas," with Bill Baird's Marionettes enacting the story. Phyllis Curtin, soprano star of the Metroplitan Opera, will sing traditional carols, while Earl Wrightson and Lois Hunt will sing popular Christmas melodies on the Christmas Eve Telephone Hour. The famous Boychoir of Princeton, Prince-ton, N. J., will present a selection selec-tion of Christmas carols. The enchanting divertissement from Tchaikovsky's 'The Nut- I cracker" Ballet, will be danced' by Krlsten Simone in the role of the Sugarplum Fairy and Henning Kronstam as the Prince. The ballet was choregraphed by Lev Ivanov. This December 24 Bell Telephone Tele-phone Hour will be produced by Dan Lounsberry with Clark Jones as the director. |
